ULUKOM celebrated its 20th anniversary with a party, participated by TİM President Oğuz Satıcı, Ulu TİM Başkanı OĞUZ SATICI, Uluslararası Nakliyeciler Derneği (International Transporters’ Association - UND) Chairperson TAMER DİNÇŞAHİ, İstanbul Gümrük Müşavirleri Derneği (İstanbul Customs Brokers’ Association İGMD) Chairperson CİHANGİR ONGER and TÜBİDER Chairperson AKİF ŞİMŞEK

Ulukom Bilgisayar celebrated its 20th anniversary with a party it held at Ramada Plaza İstabul Hotel. The anniversary dinner was participated by an invitee group of around 250 persons, also including NGO managers of informatics, foreign trade, transportation and customs clearance sectors and Ulukom customers, in addition to Ulukom employees.

The celebration dinner, which was also participated by TIM President Oğuz Satıcı, speeches were given by TÜBİDER Chairperson Akif Şimşek, Uluslararası Nakliyeciler Derneği (International Transporters’ Association - UND) Chairperson Tamer Dinçşahin and İstanbul Gümrük Müşavirleri Derneği (İstanbul Customs Brokers’ Association İGMD) Chairperson Cihangir Onger.

 

 

Akif Şimşek, in his speech, mentioned they, as TUBIDER, try to strengthen the informatics infrastructure of the sectors where Ulukom displays activity, like it was the case for each sector. Tamer Dinçşahin, in his speech, stated that while making positive speeches are only the norm during similar nights, he was, in the name of the institution he represents, extremely glad concerning the solution partnerships they established with Ulukom, from the bottom of his heart. As for Cihangir Onger, he mentioned how important the continuousness in institutions is, and stated it was very important to celebrate the 20th anniverseary at such a young sector like IT.

 

 

Ulukom Bilgisayar Co-General Manager Erkin Fındık, stating they chose to specialize in the fields of Foreign Trade, Customs Clearance and Logistics, due to the increasing competition in the IT sector during the 1990’s, and created difference when compared with their competitors with end-to-end software and hardware solutions they produced addressed towards these sectors; emphasized that the customers’ privilege to receive all services in the subject of IT from a single hand, reduced the sources they had to allocate to the relevant subject and increased efficiency. He expressed that through the application service provision model, sectorial software-leasing was presented to sectors for the first time by Ulukom, along with sector-specific package document archive solutions, they attach special importance to any cooperation made with NGO’s such as TIM and UND, and they are extremely glad of being in cooperation with the relevant NGO’s in the “e-document in Foreign Trade” project, conducted under the coordination of TIM, and which also involves UND and İstanbul Customs Brokers association.

 

 

As for the other Co-General Manager of Ulukom Bilgisayar, İlker Pakten emphasized that they follow a customer-oriented policy in the software production as Ulukom, by using Progress database and software development tools, and, as for the technologies they use, they take into account customer demands of not only today, but also possible customer demands of tomorrow. Pakten, stating they will maintain their sectorial leadership with a series of software technology usages they will develop in the year 2008, mentioned that Ulukom will always stand by their customers and be able to cover their corporate needs, also with regards to the technologies of the future.

Both general managers, in their speeches, added that the sectors to whom they provide service require special knowledge and experience, they are able to keep their service quality at a high level since the average work time at Ulukom is over 5 years, and they also attach great importance to employee satisfaction, particularly emphasizing the self-sacrificing efforts of Ulukom employees lie behind their success.

Plaques were presented to Ulukom employees, who completed their fifth, tenth and fifteenth years, by Oğuz Satıcı, Akif Şimşek, Tamer Dinçşahin, Cihangir Onger and other sector representatives; during the night, the screening of a promotion film on Ulukom, supported by interviews with customers, was also made and the special 20th Year Cake was cut. Later in the night, the invitees enjoyed themselves to repletion accompanied by live music.
